Tutum Consulting were appointed by Taylor Wimpey to examine and report on the safety implications of 430 dwelling development at Chelmer Waterside which sits on a peninsular between the River Chelmer and Blackwater Navigation Canal.
The appointment focused on considering the design of the public realm which adopted an innovative approach using a diverse palette of materials and engineering solutions. The report concluded with a range of recommendations as to how the physical layout could address possible future safety issues whilst ensuring all users could navigate the environment safely and efficiently.
